His influences range greatly from rock to country and pop, but the biggest influence has to be Mr Stevie Wonder and more recently the blue eyed soul music of bands such as Maroon 5 & Rooster.
Philomena Lynott 2004

During our recent trip to Dublin, Emyr and I had the great pleasure of meeting Phil Lynott's mother, she kindly took us in and we spent some time at her home showing us some special memorablia from the awesome Thin Lizzy frontman.

It was an experience to remember and a pleasure to pay our own tribute to one of Ireland favourite sons,  We even got to have a go of one of his trademark Basses as we played in a band ourselves.

Q: Equipment Used?
A: I have built up a good selection of gear (see below) which i am very pleased with, This took a number of years with a few hicups along the way. For home practice and bass lessons i use an old Ampeg SVT 70 watt combo.
In general the blend of Ampeg and Fender supplies serious tone control and great range of sounds.
Q:Any FX?
A:I am not a big fan of effects, but live I do sometimes use the Sansamp bass driver for added growl, I record at home with an Ampeg svp pro preamp and Bassman Nomad which is an excellent old rack mount unit with studio quality tone with effects.such as compression, octave, chorus and flanger.
Q:Any other Stuff?
A:Other guitars include a Fender Strat classic series, Crafter 6 string acoustic, also a nice Sigma Martin 12 string
Q:Influences?
A:Billy Sheehan, Phil Lynott, Andy Fraser....plus many more....

SEAN CONNELL
Unfortunately no longer with the band as he has decided to take a break from music, This is a shame as his song writing talents have contribute to the "Flood sound" over the last few years.

Preferred Guitar is the Fender Lonestar Strat and amp is a line 6 spider amp.
Effects are supplied by the Boss rackmount and midi foot controller.

Any Keyboard work is done on the Roland JW50.

Darran Tyler Davies : Guitars

Fender Factory Tour 2003
During our time in California we had the once in a lifetime opportunity of a tour of the Fender factory in Corona.

Dave Brown from the quality side of the staff gave us a start to finish guided tour from raw materials to the tested and ready to ship guitars and basses.
literally everything from parts being pressed, bodies and necks machined and hand finished, the winding and testing of pick ups, spray shop to testing on the bench no stone was left unturned
   (even the airconditioning was discussed).

We were also privileged to visit the Custom shop, seeing the flagship instruments being made and I even had a go at the ageing process of a relic bass.
All the staff were really cool and pleased to chat with us, but a big thanks to Dave (middle of pic) for everything.
